The Galo has faith in animism, with DONYI-POLO as a supreme god with its sub-ordinate Gods/Goddesses and other natural bodies. The TOGU, MOPIN, MOJI, MODV, HURIN, XODV, HIQI, JETV, PVKA and YUULUU etc. are the sub-ordinate AI-AGAM God/Goddess. The natures like Earth, Water, Forest, Sky, Air, Cloud and Fire etc are belief to have a spiritual essence. The Galo beliefs that god blesses & protects us from evils, gives us food, wealth & prospered. On illness, these deities are prayed with or without sacrifice, depending upon the priest. Sometimes chicken liver examination, XWGRE/LWWMV/TAJWR are also performed to determine the cause of illness.
